MICE
Mice spread diseases as they hunt for food and shelter and their gnawing habits can cause great damage to your home. Mice like living indoors, especially in cavities, but the good news is that with the right approach this little rodent can be easy to control.
RATS
Alongside the health risks and damage rats can cause to your home, they breed at an exceptionally high rate. Rats can cause extensive damage to your home as they can gnaw through wire, wood plastic and even mild steel. If you spot one, it’s unlikely they’re alone, so rat eradication service should be sought very quickly.
SQUIRRELS
When squirrels find a place to nest, this becomes their ‘territory’, potentially in your loft or roof space and they will protect their territory at all costs. Especially when they have young in the nest. This means they can become very agitated and even aggressive when disturbed. There is a common mis-conception that if the animal’s entry hole is blocked this will remove the problem.
It is not advisable to block entry holes as the adults can no longer reach their nest, and often their young. This will do the opposite of deterring them, encouraging an attack on any blocking work and if unsuccessful they will often attack fascia boards until they are successful
As a pest it is illegal for pest controllers to catch and release grey squirrels, they have to be dispatched. We use the most humane methods to remove all pest problems including squirrel infestations.
